Delete your account
Last updated:
You can delete your StatHall account at any time, without going through the publisher. The request starts from the cockpit, in a browser; the mobile app takes you there directly.
From the cockpit
- Sign in to the cockpit of your instance, then open Settings → Privacy.
- If you wish, first download your data with Export my data (JSON file).
- Choose Delete or anonymize my account, then the mode:
- Permanent deletion: profile, preferences, connector credentials, notes and sessions are erased;
- Anonymisation: your email, name and preferences are erased, your contributions (notes, handled anomalies) remain without being attributable to you.
- If you own apps, transfer them to a co-owner first: an app is never left without an owner.
- Confirm with your password, your two-factor code if enabled, and the requested word.
From the mobile app
In the StatHall app, open Account → Delete my account, then Continue: the cockpit opens on your instance and you follow the steps above.
What happens next
- A confirmation email is sent to you, with a link to cancel.
- For 14 days, the account is locked: no more sign-in, neither on the cockpit nor in the app. The link in the email is enough to change your mind.
- After that window, the deletion or anonymisation is carried out and can no longer be cancelled. Registered devices and their notification tokens go with the account.
- Only the security records tied to the request (timestamp, IP address) are kept, for three years, as evidence — details in the privacy policy.
Without access to your account
If you can no longer sign in, first use Forgot your password? on the sign-in
page. Otherwise, write to contact@stathall.com from your account’s email
address: the request is handled within 30 days.
On a self-hosted instance, deletion works the same way, and its operator answers written requests.
